Fr. Mankarious 65th Ordination Anniversary

Dear Abouna (father) Mankarious,

Today marks the 65th year of service to our Lord Jesus Christ, and we would like to say a couple of words on behalf of the youth that you have inspired and are the fruit of your works. You have been with us throughout the good times and the bad, you have taught us about living Christ-like even in a world that does not always welcome this way of life, through your words but more effectively through your actions. Whenever we feel that we are too weak to accomplish God's will we think back to the example you have set for us. When the seven servants appointed by the disciples were chosen they needed to fit a certain criteria which included being of "good reputation, full of the holy spirit and wisdom" (acts 6:3), you have shown us that in the past 2000 years the servants of the Lord have not changed the holy and sacred tradition as seen through the many spiritual and educational books that you have written to guide your children here in the wonderful church and care of Ti Agia Maria and St. Demiana the Martyrs.
